I am a systems neuroscientist investigating how neuromodulatory circuits regulate attention, perception, decision-making, and cognitive flexibility. A central strength of my research is the precise and independent control of distinct cognitive and behavioral components through well-defined visual tasks, enabling causal mapping of circuit mechanisms underlying adaptive behavior. My work combines multiscale approaches including high-density in-vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, pharmacology in animal models and computational modeling to study how neuromodulatory systems regulate cognitive control and behavior.
